In this example we show you how you can manage your lights automatically. With this Rule you can turn the light on at a specific time and then again off without doing it yourself. This comes in handy when, for example, you are not at home. Your lights will still go on on the set time.

Step 1: Choose input

Set the input. In this example we choose for the input ‘Time’.
Lifestyle:
When you choose this input, you will set a Rule that responses on changing the Lifestyle. For instance: you change from Home to the Lifestyle Away and the lamp outside will go on.
Sensor:
With this input you set a Rule that responses to a product. For instance: you are not at home, but the MoLiTe Sensor detects movement. The MoLiTe Sensor will send an email with notifications.
Sun:
This Rule will respond on changing the sunlight. For instance: the lights will dim automatically at sunset.
Time:
A response to a change of time. For instance: it is 07.00 o’clock, the curtains will go open automatically.

Step 1: Choose the input ('Time').

Step 2: Set input

Time:
Fill in the time when the Rule has to be activated.
Day of the week:
Choose on which days the Rule has to be activated.

We set the time at 20.00 o’clock and we want the Rule activated on every day of the week. Note! You have to fill in literately 20.00, otherwise you can not continue.
Go to ‘Add output’.

Step 2: Set input.

Step 3: Choose output

Choose what the response has to be. We choose to respond with a product.
Product:
A product responses. For instance: movement is detected, the lamp will go on.
Lifestyle:
Activating another Lifestyle. For instance: when you are coming home (movement is detected), the Lifestyle Home will be activated automatically.
Scene:
A Scene is activated. For instance: you open the door of the living room and the Scene ‘living room’ will be activated. All the lights in the living room will go on.
Email:
An email will be send as a response. For instance: you are not at home, but movement has been detected. You will receive an email.

Step 3: Choose output ('Product').

Step 4: Add output

In this example we choose for a product to respond. Choose the product you want to use in this Rule. We choose for the lamp outside.
Product:
Choose here the product you want to use.

Do action after:
Choose if you want the reaction directly or with time between.

Ready? Click on ‘Save output’.

Step 4: Add output.

Step 5: Finish

Step 5: Finish.

Step 6: Successful!

The Rule is added to your account. Here you can see what actually will happen now.
The lamp outside will now go on at 20.00 o’clock. However, we are not ready yet. We also want the light to go off again. To manage this, we add a new Rule. See the next steps if you want to know how you can do this.

Step 6: Successful!

Step 7: Choose input

Set the input. We choose again for the input ‘Time’.

Step 12: Successful!

Both Rules are now added to your account. The lamp outside will now go on at 20.00 o’clock. At 01.00 o’clock this lamp will go off again. This will happen in all Lifestyles, and on every day of the week.

Step 12: Successful!.

Step 13: Synchronize your Gateway

It it necessary to synchronize your Gateway. When your Gateway is not synchronized, the new updates will not work. The Gateway do not ‘know’ the new updates so it can not be used. Synchronizing does not take long. After this you can go to the next step.

Step 13: Synchronize your Gateway.

Step 14: Synchronized successfully!

If you see the green check-mark (next to Logout), then your Gateway is successfully synchronized. From now on your new updates will work.

Step 14: Synchronized successfully!
